Cannabis in the 60s wasn’t the best

Cannabis used to be a little marijuana plant back in the days.

It was known as pot, weed, sod, & so many other local names.

It was also illegal, although enforcement wasn’t such a big deal at the time. However, with the passage of time, that little plant has gone through a lot of evolution, and has been the cause of political upheaval at some point. I spend a lot of time in the shop listening to the old-timers talk about their younger days. One thing that they never seem to mention is how weak the cannabis was back then, however many people complained about the marijuana strain being low in THC. But did you know that back in the 60s cannabis only had a fraction of what it does today? Compared to modern strains of cannabis, the old stuff was closer to tobacco than it was to the current regular weed! There isn’t a cannabis dispensary anywhere that would sell the weak strains that are from the 60s today. Doing that to their clients today would be like chasing them away. I kept this info to myself just because I was raised to be respectful to my elders. However, this didn’t stop me from rolling my eyes when they say cannabis these days is worse than what they had in their days. I know for a fact that cannabis these days is 10 times better than it used to be. However, the interesting bit to me is how the old-timers have developed such a tolerance to cannabis & THC that they don’t seem to notice the difference and changes over the years. It’s clear that they are used to the new cannabis strains now, but for some reason are stuck on idolizing the old strains. I however learn a lot when I listen to them talk about cannabis.
