I have a job with a marketing supplier and I am totally online based. The people I was with and I have started hiring people from all over the US to task for us. They just need internet access and the right skill set. It is neat when you figure out where everywhere is from. Recently I was on a big time call with a member of the marketing team. I observed the girl was vaping on the call. Afterwards, I talked to her about her smoking. I informed her that smoking cannabis on a task call wasn’t professional. I also told her that unless she is a medical weed patient, she can’t do that. Well the girl absolutely is from a recreational cannabis state, then she lives right next door to a recreational weed store. Apparently most people are super lax about cannabis use there. You can smoke in a cannabis cafe and a lot of other people smoke on the task. She didn’t even realize that for a northerner just like me, it was quite serious. My state only offers medical cannabis. You have to do quite a bit of task and paperwork in order to obtain the card as well. Every year you need to spend our savings a fee and do the process all over again. I don’t even guess anyone with a medical weed card! Nobody would even think about smoking at their desk either. So it was up to the manager on what he felt was appropriate. Could the girl vape on a call or not? Everyone had a difference in opinion based on where they resided.
