My brother wanted a food truck for a long time after he cut his teeth in the food industry working as a line cook for a popular local restaurant.

Despite his skills in high pressure kitchens, he always wanted to go out on his own in a hectic environment. Still, he was smart to stay working for a highly rated employer for as long as possible so he could practice and get as much training as possible. If you’re not going to culinary school, you absolutely need lots of job experience if you want to be successful as a chef or restauranteur, even if you only have a food truck in the latter situation. My brother knew this and exploited his jobs for all of the knowledge they could bestow upon him. When he was ready to start his own business, he decided to do something different and create a home delivery restaurant. You’d order your food and it would be delivered to your home or workplace, but there was no storefront at first. His food home delivery service was so successful that he quickly expanded into a sit-down restaurant as well. Finally he was reaching thousands of locals and tourists that frequent the area where his restaurant is located. He still has a large portion of his clientele that exclusively order food delivered to their homes. I do the same thing now with the cannabis dispensaries. If I want my medical marijuana products quickly and don’t want to drive to a local dispensary, I can order online by 4pm to get same day delivery from my favorite cannabis dispensary that, like my brother beforehand, only operates as a home delivery service.
