I work for an SEO business that makes websites and helps them rank better on google. I would say around 80% of our business strictly focuses on HVAC dealers. We are slowly transitioning into digital marketing for cannabis dispensaries. I am always quick to take a cannabis client over an HVAC one. Consider who is the business owner of these places. A HVAC business owner is typically in his late 60s to early 70s. The guy is a small town owner that dealt with the start of the internet, cell phones and advertised in the paper. It is very difficult making good web designs, social media platforms and internet marketing choices when the client doesn’t understand what they are paying for. These clients typically want a lot of changes, to cut costs on important areas and then complain a lot. A cannabis dispensary owner is much younger and more familiar with technology. They actually understand what search engine optimization is and how dispensary SEO is so beneficial. They like modern web builds with moving graphics and pictures. They usually have social media platforms already and know the difference of PPC vs SEM strategies. They are a dream to work with. It is my hope that eventually the SEO company I work with only will target cannabis dispensaries rather than HVAC dealers. More and more cannabis dispensaries, cannabis consulting firms, CBD stores and growing facilities are cropping up. They all need digital marketing strategies to stay afloat in such a competitive market. I really want to be a part of this.
