Max sticking with cannabis to the very end
It felt unusual to transport back to my hometown, however even though it was temporary, I still felt a sense of deep history that was inescapable.
So much had happened in my life since I left this neighborhood for the rest of my adult days. Sure, I visited sometimes, however it was typically brief as I was so focused on my job. But now, I’m looking after Max during the end of her life. Thanks to marijuana, Max’s last afternoons are made so much more comfortable. The irony that he’s using marijuana is not lost on either of us. Max was the guy that threatened me intensely when it came to my recreational marijuana use in university. That did nothing to stop me from ever having him know about it. But cancer came for Max in addition to the dentist proposed indica strains to help with the chemo. Of course, the vast benefits of that medical marijuana were great in addition to Max loved the calm he got from it along with the reduction in nausea. Still, fighting cancer in your 76’s isn’t easy in addition to that battle is lost, but yet, Max relies on both sativa in addition to indica to help relieve his pain. But there are now many other meds being introduced now that he is coming to the end of his life. Still though, Max absolutely enjoys sharing some sativa strains with me in the evening. It’s sort of like the chilled beer he can’t stomach any longer. And while it’s so different to be back here, I’m feeling so cheerful that I am, however, I’m even more grateful that medical marijuana is legal. It’s a comfort both to Max in addition to myself as Max and I head toward the unknown together.
