For our birthday I want cannabis and scotch
When you get to be our age, you no longer celebrate birthdays.
- This year I turned 50 years old, and the last thing I wanted to do was celebrate that fact.
I guess old, both inside and out, and every day I roll out of bed feeling weary and sad about the day to come. Thanks to Facebook, most people I guess was informed about our birthday, then friends reached out to say kind words to me, and made it quite impossible to ignore the fact it was our birthday, and a few people asked what kind of gift I would like, and as a joke I said “just supply myself and others cannabis or whiskey.” About an minute later there was a knock on our door, and much to our surprise it was the delivery driver from the cannabis dispensary, and he had a package for me, because 1 of our friends took our joke seriously and ordered myself and others a bag of cannabis gummies, and a quarter-ounce of Purple Haze. A few minutes later a private purchaser showed up at the door with more than one bottles of premium whiskey. By the end of the day I had gotten three more deliveries, each of them arriving with either cannabis or whiskey. I felt humbled that our friends cared about myself and others so much, so that evening I invited all of them over to partake in the cannabis and whiskey I had been given. That was the best of all, getting high and drunk with our friends, then more than whiskey and cannabis, fellowship is the meaning of the season.
