Dad is digging the cannabis
The state Ed lives in was one of the first to feel the success of medical marijuana.
Who would have thought that I’d be splitting an edible with Ed? It really wouldn’t have been me that’s for sure. While I had my suspicions that Ed smoked a tolerable amount of recreational marijuana when she was in school, Ed wouldn’t reveal anything. It was always wait until I was an adult before experimenting with smoking cannabis. That was her refrain from the time I was little until I went out the door to school. And that’s pretty much the last time Ed and I really ever discussed cannabis until recently. I waited until my junior year of college to try recreational marijuana & I really wasn’t disappointed with the experience. In fact, I sort of kept with my recreational marijuana experiences through my adult life. Of course, I had to do it on the sly with toil & the fact that weed was illegal in all forms at that point. But when Ed got breast cancer, she treated it with indica products to help her through the chemo treatments. Fortunately, Ed had retired to a state where there was legal medical marijuana. She rallied & is now a proud Grandmother. The state Ed lives in was one of the first to feel the success of medical marijuana. And recreational marijuana was also legalized as well. So I know that’s how Ed ended up with a couple of cannabis edibles in her pocket when I recently visited them. It was a precious solo trip for me as I was visiting the town for corporation & just stayed on a couple of extra days. Ed took me to a minor league baseball game & handed me half a cannabis edible with a wry smile once she and I settled into our seats.
