Reducing dog anxiety in the modern home
Moving an animal is always difficult! My dog doesn’t travel well… I pay extra to have the vet come to my condo since he freaks out in the car.
- I knew when I obtained a loft an minute down south it was going to be difficult, then not only the car ride, but the modern loft would be tough.
I read online on how to make a dog excited in a modern home. I set up a living room with all my cats stuff in there, however everything had his scent on it and I needed to quarantine him in the room for more than one days, however then I needed to open up the loft slowly over a stage of more than one weeks to get him used to it. I then needed to keep him indoors for more than one months before I started letting him go outside. I knew it was going to be a stressful time for my cat. The drive and the modern condo was going to be tough. I went to my local dispensary and found pet CBD products, then cBD is a great anxiety aid. I was relieved there were tons of local pet CBD products to choose from. I obtained sprays, dog treats, sticks and oils that might work on my cat. I experimented before making that drive to see what my dog responded to, however for the drive to the loft I sprayed a CBD lavender scent all over his carrier to soothe him on the ride. I also got a dog treat with CBD that he could lick the entire way there to soothe him. Once he got into the loft I started doling out dog treats with CBD in them. It was a long more than one months but my dog made it and is excited in his modern home.
