Getting busted smoking cannabis
Being a single dad with a teenage daughter is quite a challenge.
I am not complaining, I love Jenny and being her dad is the best thing that ever happened to me… but it’s still difficult at times.
I have never been a teenage girl before, so I can only imagine how hard it is these days, with social media and the rise in online bullying. When the school year ended, Jenny had a few of her friends come over for a slumber party. Trying to be a good dad I stayed out of the way and let them have run of the house. I went out into the side yard to smoke some cannabis, thinking no one would notice. Much to my surprise I saw Bev, one of my daughter’s friends, already smoking cannabis in the yard! She tried to hide it, but anyone who has smelled the sharp scent of cannabis will recognize it from ten feet away! I told her to go ahead and finish it, and then I lit up my own cannabis. I asked Bev if her parents knew she smoked cannabis. She admitted that they did not know, and that she had stolen the cannabis from their secret stash. I knew her parents already, and had smoked marijuana with them several times in the past. I told her that I wouldn’t tell her parents, so long as she didn’t tell Jenny that I was smoking cannabis. Bev laughed and finished her joint, then turned to me and said “your daughter already knows you smoke cannabis, dude.”
