My Mom and Dad decided to move across the country when I was in my senior year of high school. My dad got a new job offer that he could not turn down. I was very upset and angry when I found out that they wanted to move. I wanted to finish my senior year in the same school where I started classes. I did not want to leave my friends in the middle of the semester. My mom and dad felt bad about the circumstances and they offered to let me stay with my grandparents so I could finish my last few months of school. My grandparents happily let me move into their home. After high school was over, I had to make a tough decision. I could continue living with my grandparents or I could hop on a plane and move to the same state where both of my parents were living. It was a difficult decision to make. There are some things that made the decision a bit easier to make. One of those things is the legality of marijuana in the state where my parents moved. Recreational and medical marijuana are 100% legal. After I moved, I had access to legal marijuana any time that I wanted. Legal marijuana was one of the biggest reasons why I decided to move. I could have gone to college anywhere, but being closer to my mom and dad made me feel safer. Having access to recreational marijuana made me feel happier. I weighed the decision heavily before I finally chose to move across the country with my mom and dad.
